Science of software engineering is continuously evolving with innovations in methodologies, tools, and technologies. Three such significant advances are Agile, DevOps, and AI, which change the face of software development processes. Agile has revolutionized project management by introducing flexibility and collaboration. DevOps brought an end to the often known as the space between development and operations teams and facilitated effortless integration and delivery across them. AI integration has also maximized most of the development, testing, and maintenance processes. This paper provides a general overview of the impact Agile, DevOps, and AI have had on software engineering-a review of the advantages, challenges, and directions into the future of these practices collectively.
