Reconfigurable computing is one of the promising technology of current hardware development [1], [2]. Reconfigurable devices generally consist of a microcontroller or a processor and configurable logic blocks similar to FPGA [6], [17]. It enables hardware level reconfiguration of the devices. In the implementation of IoT, microcontrollers are most preferred in end node level because of the cost and reduced development time [7]. In node level microcontrollers, changes in parameters of the field application require to upgrade new firmware [1]. The field parameters may change based on time or user requirement. Upgrading new firmware every time in a huge set of nodes is a critical process. This research work proposes a software-based reconfiguration in microcontrollers that helps to avoid entire firmware update for parameter changes.
