It is vital to protect sensitive web-based information, especially images, as internet usage grows. This project offers an Image Encryption application, designed using programming languages, to securely encrypt digital images with their privacy, integrity, and authenticity preserved on storage and transmission. It involves discovering symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, selecting algorithms in conformity with security, speed, and efficiency for image data. The software is programmed with modularity, scalability, and maintainability in mind, and algorithms are extensively tested for correctness of encryption-decryption and security from attacks. Tests for efficiency are performed to make sure it can perform well with large images and varying computational resources. Following best practices in software engineering and cryptography, the software employs secure coding, input validation, and error handling to defend against potential weaknesses and attacks and offers a reliable solution.
