For the last decade, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging and being implemented in many fields like medical, technology, engineering, manufacturing, biotechnology, etc. In the context of cybersecurity, when any new feature or technology releases then it also means that the attack vector has been increased for the attackers as well and they can take advantage of this. But rather than looking to the bad side of it, AI can also be used to improve the security posture of any infrastructure. Integrating artificial intelligence with cybersecurity can help in a lot of ways like real time monitoring and with the help of the trained machine learning model the system can take required or necessary steps on its own. This saves a lot of resources and time. This could decrease the likelihood of the attacks as well. There are certain artificial intelligence models and techniques which can be integrated with an organization’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) or security components. With thorough research, this paper shows the contribution of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity.
