Building Secure and Efficient Internet of Data Based on Dataware

Yiyang Zhou · 2025

In the digital economy era, secure and efficient data circulation is challenging due to issues like unclear ownership, non-standardized pricing, and security risks. We propose a novel dataware based architecture for secure yet efficient Internet of Data in this paper. It is a five-layer framework to efficiently store and manage data while ensuring that the data is stored securely (storage, encapsulation, protocol, management, usage). The digital object encapsulation for anonymization, encryption and unified formatting, and the identifier resolution protocol for cross-domain dataware localization and interoperability are among the key innovations. Using industrial electricity consumption as a case study, we validate and demonstrate the feasibility of dataware: a raw data driven pipeline that converts raw data into structured data components with traceability, standard pricing models and secure sharing mechanisms. It breaks data circulation bottlenecks and allows cross-domain collaboration and opens up the road for large-scale data ecosystems. In this continuing work, we will optimize the system for the best performance and expand applications to other economic sectors.
