Linux Terminal Overview

It covers an introduction to Linux and its terminal, followed by a guide to basic terminal commands and syntax. The chapter then explores the Linux file system, focusing on navigating files and directories and creating, editing, and deleting files. Practical aspects of terminal use are addressed, including executing Python code directly from the command line and utilizing wildcard characters for efficient file manipulation. The chapter further explains commands for finding, viewing, and obtaining information about files and system resources. A brief explanation of file permissions and ownership is provided, including the use of octal and symbolic notations and how to update permissions using operators. Finally, the chapter shows how to install and uninstall packages using sudo.
