Quantum-Resistant Cryptography for Securing Future Cyber Threats
Shantanu Sudhir Gujar · 2025
Traditional cryptographic methods become more and more vulnerable to quantum computing that develops, which may cause their failure in protecting data security. This paper explores quantum resistance cryptography which is a means of cyber protection against future threats. To see how much such tools such as Microsoft SEAL and liboqs will help in terms of implementing post quantum cryptographic algorithms, we are taking a closer look at them. However, the most notable of the Microsoft SEAL project is its use of lattice-based encryption methods to provide strong protection against quantum attacks. Along with it, it supports homomorphic encryption, i.e., performing operation on encrypted data. liboqs is a C library with a nice list of quantum safe cryptographic algorithms. These tools help in keeping the data safe and secure or they help us to improve our strength against the quantum computing. This research proves that the introduction of the post quantum cryptography is of great importance when it comes to protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data from a possible quantum threat, and therefore advocates for post quantum cryptography to be used widely in many fields of economy.
