The main focus of this paper is to address the challenges faced by centralized video management systems, such as data breaches, hacking, tampering, and single points of failure, which can result in the loss or unauthorized modification of critical video footage. The proposed system overcomes these issues by leveraging blockchain technology and decentralized storage to ensure continuous availability, integrity, and security of video data. Developed using the MERN stack, the system integrates features such as user authentication, video recording, and uploads to Pinata IPFS, a decentralized storage network, with the IPFS hash securely stored in MongoDB. In cases where videos are deleted or become inaccessible on IPFS, the system retrieves them using the stored hash. If both IPFS and MongoDB fail, the video is propagated across a distributed network to ensure constant availability. The integration of blockchain through Solidity and Linea Sepolia secures each video upload with an immutable transaction. Furthermore, user passwords are double-hashed for enhanced security, and a tamper-check feature is included to allow users to verify the integrity of their videos. By combining decentralized storage, blockchain technology, and robust security measures, this system provides a resilient and secure video management platform that addresses the vulnerabilities of centralized systems.
