An Overview of Treasury Management Strategies: a Bibliometric-Systematic Literature Review

Research Aims: the study aims to provide an overview of modern treasury management strategies oriented towards financial performance enhancement as well as main research tendencies on this topic. Design/methodology/approach: the research strategy primarily utilizes bibliometric analysis, supplemented by a traditional systematic literature review in order to offer a comprehensive understanding of the current state of the research on treasury management strategies. Research Findings: the analysis reveals four key clusters that provide valuable insights regarding liquidity management as well as the importance of an integrated approach to cash management and fund allocation, the critical relationship between liquidity management policies and financial performance, the need for data-driven insights to refine risk mitigation strategies and cost implications of treasury management for overall productivity enhancement Theoretical Contribution/Originality: apart from current theoretical achievements analysis, valuable insights for academic scholars and industry practitioners regarding future developments in this field are provided highlighting some research gaps and identifying possible directions of developmentKeywords: Treasury Management, Strategy, B-SLR, VOSviewer
