Hyperlocal Supply Chains for Quick Commerce

The framework that enables the quick delivery of goods and services within a short distance is called hyperlocal supply chains in effect. Hyperlocal supply chains are an integral part of India's quick commerce ecosystem. This chapter gives a definition of hyperlocal supply chains and describes their importance to quick commerce models. It studies the operational processes of India's quick commerce firms with regard to efficiency, costs, and technology. The challenges related to infrastructure, demand, and workforce are discussed. The chapter also looks at innovations like AI-driven demand forecasting, automated deliveries, and intelligent inventory management that improve logistics efficiency. It also reviews the sustainability and scalability of hyperlocal models with respect to cost and environment. It finally elucidates the future of the hyperlocal supply chain in India with respect to the growth potential, regulations, and changing demand from consumers.
