V2I communication is essential to contemporary transport systems because it provides advantages like collision avoidance and real-time traffic data. Ensuring the security of data transmitted between infrastructure and vehicles poses a considerable difficulty, though. The goal of this project is to improve data integrity through the use of cryptographic methods, specifically the MD5 hashing algorithm. MD5, a popular cryptographic hash algorithm, creates fixed-length hexadecimal hash values from data. A unique MD5 hash value is produced for each modification to the original data, guaranteeing that the data is unchanged throughout transmission. Our study focuses on efficiency and scalability in the research and implementation of cryptographic protocols. When data is transferred, MD5 hashing creates distinct digital signatures that enable early identification of unwanted changes. The communication route is secured by key management procedures, and prospective assaults are mitigated by countermeasures. These initiatives promote the integration of autonomous vehicles, enhance traffic control, and make the vehicle-to-intellect ecosystem safer. This initiative emphasises how important cryptographic techniques-more specifically, MD5 in particular-are to improving the data integrity of vehicle- to-vehicle (V2I) communication and advancing contemporary transportation systems. To sum up, using cryptographic meth- ods-particularly the MD5 hashing algorithm-is essential to improving data integrity in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2I) communication. This project aims to solve the critical requirement for reliable and secure communication routes between infrastructure elements and automobiles. The project's ultimate goal is to improve traffic management and road safety within the framework of contemporary transportation systems, all the while advancing the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles.
