Software Testing for Generated RESTFul API Code from SQL Code

The development of application development is advancing rapidly. More and more tools and approaches are being used to accelerate and improve the quality of application code. One of the current development tools is code automation, often referred to as the low-code approach. In our previous research, we attempted to develop an automation approach for generating RESTful API code based on SQL code, specifically the SQL DDL type. The output of the previous study was RESTful API code. In this study, we conducted functional testing of the output from our previous research, namely the RESTful API code. For the testing, we used three output results. The findings showed that the RESTful API code generated by the tool we previously developed functions according to the specifications, with all outputs performing CRUD operations successfully.
