Perspective: an integrated programming support environment

Keith Jackson · ITNOW · 1984

Abstract Perspective is a software development system used by teams of people to produce software systems which are written in Pascal. It provides facilities which explicitly address the requirements of managers, designers and programmers, but most importantly it satisfies these requirements in an integrated manner rather than in a piecemeal fashion. An important advantage of this approach is that information entered into Perspective by any team member can automatically be made available to other team members in a controlled way. Thus each member of the team sees the information he requires in the right form for his requirements and at the appropriate time.
