Abstract In recent years, improvements upon program diagramming methods have been reported in the Society literature with several aims including reduction of both design labour and duration, incorporation of modularity, and improvement in documentation quality [1], [2]. With essentially identical intentions, this article was written to show the benefits of the Warnier-Orr technique over conventional block diagrams. Additionally, some enhancements developed during actual practice will be presented.
