Word processing—at work

Abstract Word processing, in the restricted sense of computer supported typing, is now an accepted fact of office life in many commercial and governmental organisations, so that seeing WP at work is no longer a novelty. It has not, however, brought about the paperless office, nor yet the less paper office; rather has it tended significantly to increase the paper produced by both author and typing staff.
