The engine oil in vehicles plays a critical role in lubricating, cooling, and protecting engine components from wear and tear. Monitoring both the oil level and its quality is essential to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. This project proposes an IoT-based dipstick-type engine oil level and impurities monitoring system that incorporates a portable online spectrophotometer. The system is designed to continuously monitor the oil level and detect the presence of impurities or degradation in the oil composition in real time. Using a sensor-equipped dipstick, the system measures oil level while the spectrophotometer analyses the oil's optical properties to detect contaminants such as soot, water, and metal particles. The data is transmitted wirelessly via IoT technology to a cloud-based platform where it is processed and displayed for remote monitoring and analysis. The system provides real-time alerts to users when the oil level drops below a critical threshold or when impurities exceed acceptable levels, preventing engine damage and reducing maintenance costs. The portable design allows easy installation and use across This innovative approach combines IoT technology, spectroscopy, and real-time data analytics to offer a reliable, efficient, and convenient solution for proactive engine maintenance.
