This paper focuses on secure wireless multicasting under the employment of a Neyman-Pearson receiver, along with a selection combining (SC) diversity technique over a Rayleigh fading channel. SC diversity technique provides diversity gain by selecting the strongest received signal from several brunches. The authors aim to prevent eavesdropping of the sent signal by considering the number of eavesdroppers, multicast users, and receive and eavesdropper side antennas. In order to maintain confidentiality when there are numerous eavesdroppers present, the authors developed the closed-form analytical expression for the probability of non-zero secrecy multicast capacity (PNSMC) and secure outage probability for multicasting (SOPM). These mathematical models help provide insight into the effects of the aforementioned parameters. The numerical results show that security in a multicast network employing a Neyman-Pearson receiver with SC diversity technique is significantly affected by the receive and eavesdropper side antenna number, the amount of multicast user and eavesdropper, especially at low noise power region of the eavesdropper channel.
