Enhancing Capacity of Wireless Network With Correlated Partial Relay Subset Selection

Mohan Sarker, Imran Ahmad, Dilip Kumar Sarker, Ramjan Ali · 2024

A partial subset selection relaying strategy under Amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol is introduced between the transmitter and receiver to enhance the capacity and outage behavior of wireless network. The vital attribute of this effort is to boost up capacity at the receiver terminals with the help of extra diversity provided by selecting a subset of K relays among a set of N relays. It is presume that communication takes place between the transmitter and receiver only through the relays, and the relay subset will be selected on the basis of the feedback information of the relay-to-receiver channels. The performance of the network is assessed with the consideration of correlation among the relays. The complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of capacity, outage probability, and ergodic capacity are used to evaluate the posture of the suggested network. To elucidate the perception of numerical outcomes, every expression is derived analytically, and the reliability of these derived expressions is substantiated using Monte-Carlo simulation.
