The UK experience of computer fraud
Chris Hurford · ITNOW · 1989
Abstract As a large portion of the UK workforce becomes computer literate and the use of desk-top computers increases, all organisations using IT are as a consequence more vulnerable to the risks of computer crime. The speed and accuracy of computers make them attractive. The pace of technological innovation is such, however, that management and auditors may be unable to foresee potential risks, let alone take preventive measures.
