Blockchain Solution in Dhaka Metro Rail (DMR) for online Ticketing System: Bangladesh Perspective

Bangladesh's Dhaka Metro Rail project is an ongoing initiative to reduce traffic congestion and enhance transportation efficiency by establishing multiple lines connecting different city areas.Once completed, it will provide faster and more reliable transportation for residents and visitors, reducing congestion and improving connectivity.But there are ticketing issues, including lengthy lines, passengers' data information is not secured, and malfunctioning machines, which can result in delays and inconvenience for Dhaka Metro Rail passengers.Implementing effective solutions and enhancing services is essential to ensure a smooth and hassle-free ticketing experience.In this paper, the Author's proposal solution suggests implementing an Online Ticketing System using NFTs and QR codes, leveraging the security benefits of Blockchain Technology for ticket authenticity, fraud prevention, data security, and passenger satisfaction.
