The Design and Engineering of the Software: Virtual Reality Course “Introduction to Animation”
An Ying · 2024
"Introduction to Animation" is a fundamental compulsory course for animation majors. This course covers many ancient animation instruments that have been lost over the course of history. To allow students to experience these instruments firsthand, this course uses virtual reality technology to create 3D digital models of these long-lost devices and builds interactive immersive scenes. Students can interact with the models through a virtual reality headset and controllers. This study is divided into three parts. The first part collects data through interviews to analyze the feasibility of applying virtual reality technology to the teaching of the "Introduction to Animation" course. The second part is the design and engineering of the software based on the feedback of the interview research. The third part is problems encountered and solutions.
