This work studies the development of the intelligent campus construction process. The demand for constructing modern institutions is high due to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. It uses the emerging technologies such as cloud computing, big data, computer vision, and other technologies to acquire the physical environment. This can detect the learning environment of students and teachers. Establishing an intelligent, open, and comfortable campus environment not only improves the hardware environment of the campus but also promotes the development of academic research, the improvement of teaching quality, the enhancement of the educational environment, and the acquisition of happiness of teachers and students. This paper examines the applications of AI in the campus environment development. This focuses on the contributions towards academic development, campus safety, and human-centric design. This research work represents the outcome of intelligent campus construction in modern education with the help of detailed reviews and case studies. This work also discusses the role of AI in sustainable educational institutions and future trends in intelligent campus development.
