Recommendation System in the Educational Context

The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed many aspects of daily life, particularly in the field of education. .This article presents a study on student guidance and recommender systems, focusing on the needs of students and exploring the potential integration of recommender systems to support their academic and career decisions. The research is based on a survey conducted with 253 students in Morocco, collecting both qualitative and quantitative data about their career paths, challenges, decisions, and the use of academic or career guidance services.The findings reveal that 72,8% of students lack sufficient information about career opportunities . Additionally, 76.7% of students express strong interest in recommender systems, particularly in receiving personalized recommendations for their academic and professional choices. These results provide valuable insights for career counselors and can inform the development of more effective, tailored recommender systems for career guidance in universities.
