This paper studies the consensus of finite-time leader-following for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with hybrid control under fixed topology and switching topologies respectively. Among them, the hybrid control which includes finite-time control and impulsive control can realise faster convergence of the nonlinear MASs. Based on the Lyapunov finite-time stability theory, impulsive control theory, we obtain that the sufficient conditions for the consensus of finite-time leader-following of nonlinear MASs were derived and the setting-time was estimated. It is shown that the setting-time is subject to the combined effect of the number of impulsive control, the initial conditions and network topologies of nonlinear MASs. Furthermore, the switching topologies abandon the requirement of connected or strongly connected, opting instead for jointly connected switching topologies, which enhances practicality. Finally, a simulation example verified the effectiveness of the proposed conclusions.
