In the Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) process, audio and video transmission plays a crucial role in the identity verification procedure. However, bandwidth limitations pose a significant challenge to transmission quality, so it is necessary to select the right audio codec so that eKYC can run efficiently and reliably. Our research aims to evaluate the performance that includes throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss on three audio codecs, namely Advanced Audio Encoding (AAC), OGG Vorbis, and Opus. The evaluation was carried out through simulation using NS-3 network simulator tools. Based on the test results, the bandwidth requirements that can be used at high bitrates to get good audio transmission quality, especially in the eKYC process, are in the range above 512 Kbps where the bandwidth is able to maintain the quality of the transmitted audio. Meanwhile, low to medium bitrates can use a minimum bandwidth of 256 kbps. However, bandwidth usage in eKYC applications can be reduced by adjusting the bitrate parameters and also the duration of the audio transmitted to be used at very limited bandwidth.
