The Design of An Impedance Matching System with A Small RF Antenna

Ziyang Wang · Applied and Computational Engineering · 2025

Small antennas exhibit varying characteristics, necessitating distinct impedance matching systems for different frequencies. The challenge of impedance mismatch, caused by the frequency dependent nature of impedance, leads to significant signal and power loss. This project addresses the development of a small antenna with an impedance-matching system tailored to a specific frequency to optimize performance. The objectives of the project are threefold: (1) to design and build a small antenna with an effective impedance-matching system, (2) to validate theoretical models through experimental testing, and (3) to explore potential applications in fields such as laboratory equipment and radios.
