Networks inside chips, such as “Network on Chip (NoC)”, may have faulty nodes. Therefore, it is important to have a fault-tolerant routing algorithm that can avoid these nodes while communicating. In mesh networks, which are a common topology, a method has been proposed in which an area is set around a faulty node and additional rules are defined. Since this method has a complex routing algorithm to avoid the faulty part, when implementing it, it is necessary to search for reachability in advance based on the overall network situation and select selectable links. In this paper, we propose a method to realize a fault-tolerant routing algorithm for mesh networks based on the South First (SF) method, which is a type of turn model, and evaluate the communication performance.
