Enhancing SALUS Backend Systems Through Strategic Design and Implementation: Changelog Overview in the Case Study

This paper presents a detailed account of a series of enhancements made to the backend systems of a software development project, named” Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain for the quality control and product safety system”, SALUS system (https://salus.it.p.lodz.pl/). It covers the design and implementation of a backend database, use of product data hashing for ID optimization, the strategic reorganization of business logic to align with blockchain module technology (SALUS.BC), API interface optimization, the creation of a utility library for contract refactoring, and the comprehensive update of testing protocols. Each section illustrates the rationale, methodology, and outcomes of the implemented solutions, highlighting the project's shift towards more efficient” secure” and scalable systems.
