Social media platforms have become essential, for global communication and content exchange in the digital era. One of the most effective security measures for mobile networks is end-to-end encryption. The goal of this review paper is to investigate secure end-to-end encryption technologies in mobile networks. It presents an analysis of cryptography ideas, such as symmetric and asymmetric encryption techniques. It also covers the key technologies used in this process, including end-to-end encryption and decentralized data storage, and describes encrypted communication in a decentralized manner based on blockchains. By fusing blockchain technology with decentralized encrypted communication and decentralized data storage, this strategy transforms the conventionally based digital communication method and offers end users a new means of communication. The most common method for implementing high system throughput, according to its analysis, is steganography, whereas the most likely category for implementing standard security algorithms with low system throughput is modem-based cryptography. Pattern matching of encrypted data and privacy-preserving methods are briefly explained in the study, along with chaotic cryptography for secure voice communication. However these new technologies have drawbacks, such as restricted scalability and blockchain technology’s low efficiency, which could hinder their chances for the future.
