Identification is a significant aspect of an individual and a nation, as it contains confidential information, including dates of birth, biometric data, photographs, and unique identification numbers that can recognize and authenticate identities. With the growing reliance on centralized servers for database storage, the vulnerability of sensitive data has increased significantly. Malicious entities have exploited security gaps to gain unauthorized access, manipulate, and alter information. This breach compromises the integrity of the data and poses a significant threat to national security. Blockchain technology optimizes the reliability of data transferred over a network by providing strong security, increased transparency, and efficient information tracking. Incorporating this technology into our system would significantly increase trust, ensuring the security and reliability of the system. This research seeks to improve the security of identity systems through blockchain technology. We are using Ethereum smart contracts to secure identification data and testing using Remix IDE, which will simulate real-world scenarios involving numerous users and wallets. The system ensures scalability by leveraging Ethereum smart contracts for efficient management of increasing number of users and data, while decentralized blockchain technology overcomes the limitations of centralized systems by offering anonymity, integrity, immutability, trust, confidentiality, and cost-effective processing and storage.
