In distributed systems, nodal databases are essential for processing and managing massive amounts of data. However, there are several obstacles to overcome in order to guarantee the security of these databases in big data contexts. This paper examines various security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices associated with nodal databases. The study highlights critical aspects such as control of access, encryption of data, data integrity, and detection mechanisms to intercept any intrusion which enhances security. Advanced security models and machine learning techniques are also explored to prevent cyber-attacks and threats. The findings contribute to the development of robust security frameworks for safeguarding big data infrastructures.
