Avoiding Clickbait in Social Media Using Gradient Boosting Algorithm

One of the primary reasons for the popularity of fakenews at social media presents a severe danger to the integrity and assurance of info on the web. To solve this problem, the study proposes to combine the Machine learning, Gradient boosting algorithms with the Decodex browser extension. Utilizing techniques, such as NLP and the system can determine and categorize incorrect data in real-time. When the moment a person enters a website that is marked as spreading fake news, the system prompts a pop-up message that states, “Warning: This a fake news site.” With the aim to proactively apply it, the technique would be implemented on sources like BBC, which will serve as the main line of defence in the fight against surface disinformation and the growth of the credibility of the online news materials. Decodex extenstion toolkit mainly used to user engagement. That said, the problem of the high accuracy of identification and the user's compliance with the given guidelines are still persisting. In previous research paper didn't focus on user engagement, To overcome this problem this paper using the Machine learning technology and gradient Boosting algorithm and decodex extension to improve the accuracy and user engagement.
