H.D. Karmakar, Ritam Majumder, Mrinmoy Sarkar, Subhankar Bhattacharjee · 2024

Surveillance is observing or tracking for the sole purpose of data collection. It is used by humans in almost any domain that requires the gathering of data and information. The present work represents the designing of an IoT-based surveillance ROVER using the ESP32-CAM AI-Thinker module which helps in real time video monitoring. It can lead to a huge application in different sectors like defence, business, game, intelligence gathering, monitoring, maintenance, etc. Also, it can be used in rescue operations and spying through a narrow passage. The prototype of the robot consists of a rocker-bogey suspension that can traverse through almost any type of terrain and a body in which different types of electronic components and sensors are mounted for gathering data which will be transferred over IoT to the control unit ESP32 using WSN (Wireless Sensor Network).
