The use of machine learning techniques in environmental applications has grown rapidly in recent years, offering new opportunities for data analysis, prediction, and decision-making. This study presents a comprehensive overview of machine learning techniques and their applications in various environmental aspects, including air and water quality monitoring, climate change analysis, natural resource management, waste management and recycling, and biodiversity conservation. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities of using machine learning in environmental applications, as well as the ethical considerations of transparency and fairness. Case studies of successful machine learning applications in environmental domains are presented, and lessons learned and future directions for the integration and improvement of machine learning in environmental research and policy are discussed. The study provides recommendations for improving the accuracy and efficiency of machine learning models and integrating them with traditional environmental monitoring and management practices to support sustainable development and environmental conservation effort.
