In the context of Zero Trust networks, the difficulty lies mostly in the careful selection of the correct cryptographic key from an extremely wide candidate space, making the creation of attack techniques with fault tolerance a significant issue. In order to solve this pressing problem, this study presents a new method that utilizes Correlation Power Analysis (CPA) in tandem with the Euclidean Distance Enhanced Collision Attack (EDCA) for AES-128 encryption. In the highly secure environment of a Zero Trust network, the EDCA method’s use of Euclidean distance to improve collision detection rates is invaluable. This study combines EDCA and CPA concepts to classify 330 collision pairs of keys and allows for bidirectional selection to get the best collision chain. Key enumeration and successful key recovery are greatly simplified by this narrowing of the candidate space. The experimental findings show the efficacy of the suggested method, with success rates of 98.78% and 80.25% utilizing a collision pair threshold of ≥5 and 3000 energy traces under challenging situations with low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR = –3 dB and SNR = –6 dB). These findings show promise as a step forward in the study of side-channel assaults because they outperform previous approaches, especially in the context of Zero Trust network setups.
