The healthcare industry is grappling with the challenges of ensuring data security, privacy, and interoperability of patient health records. Traditional centralized systems are vulnerable to data breaches and unauthorized access. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized and immutable nature, offers a promising solution to address these issues. This paper proposes a blockchain-based system for managing patient health records, aiming to enhance data security, privacy, and accessibility. The proposed system leverages smart contracts to automate the process of recording, updating, and sharing health records. By utilizing cryptographic techniques, the system ensures data integrity and prevents unauthorized modifications. Patients are empowered to control their health data, granting access to authorized healthcare providers while maintaining privacy. Additionally, the system facilitates seamless data sharing between different healthcare institutions, improving interoperability and enabling efficient patient care. Through rigorous analysis and experimentation, we evaluate the performance and security of the proposed system. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of blockchain in addressing the challenges of traditional health record management. This research contributes to the advancement of healthcare technology by providing a secure, transparent, and efficient solution for managing patient health information.
