Whither virtual reality?

Abstract Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-based method of putting someone into a computer-generated model or dataset. The value of VR is that it brings the human a better, more intuitive and more easily assimilated understanding of the model or dataset. This better understanding comes directly from the ‘sense of presence’ and ‘natural interaction’ which the VR gives the user.
