It is normally a cause for concern to elderly people's families as they may develop complications and be left alone to struggle. Before, we proposed an intelligent watch-over system in elderly people's homes engaging a Raspberry Pi IoT device with built-in motion and temperature-humidity sensors. This system provided privacy protection and sent alerts on unusual activities through Twitter and, although useful, had some drawbacks; first of all, it was not very flexible and designed mainly for single-family homes. In the current paper, we introduce an enhanced version of our system that minimises these drawbacks by using additional sensors like pressure and sound sensors, as well as incorporating the wearable health monitoring systems. Besides, relying on the complex of sensors, the system now includes AI algorithms allowing the prediction of possible health problems and prompt notifications. With integration as a secure IoT platform adding effectiveness to communication protocol to realise reliable and real time notification of events through the LINE app. The sharpened system also comes integrated with a multi-user and multi-device environment which makes the system easily switch from being in a dormant state to being in watch-over mode depending on the people in the house. It is useful in elderly care in the current society since it does not only improve the security of the elderly and their physiological health but also offers consolation to their families.
