Homophobic bullying remains a pervasive issue in schools, impacting on the well-being and academic success of many students. Understanding how students perceive and comprehend this form of bullying is essential for creating safer and more inclusive educational environments. This study determined the knowledge and perception of homophobic bullying among Grade-10 students as springboard for developing educational infographics in teaching social studies. Employing a descriptive-correlational research design, data were collected from Grade-10 students through validated survey questionnaires. The study analysed the levels of knowledge and perception, assessed students’ evaluation of infographics, and examined the relationship between knowledge and perception using Pearson’s correlation. Findings revealed that students possess moderate levels of knowledge and perception regarding homophobic bullying. The educational infographics were rated very highly, indicating their effectiveness in enhancing student engagement and understanding. A strong positive correlation was found between knowledge and perception, suggesting that increased knowledge is associated with more accurate and serious perceptions of homophobic bullying. These results underscore the importance of integrating comprehensive, visually engaging educational materials into school curricula to improve awareness and foster supportive attitudes. The study advocates for continued efforts to address gaps in knowledge and perception to promote respectful and inclusive school climates that protect all students from bullying.
