Modern digital systems rely on extensive data collection to deliver functionality, yet concerns about user privacy intensify as technology expands globally. A profound tension exists between the need to secure personal information and to maintain data utility for analytics and innovation. This chapter explores advanced privacy-preserving methods, including cryptographic approaches, data minimization strategies, and privacy-by-design concepts, illustrating how organizations protect sensitive information while supporting data-driven initiatives. By examining case studies in healthcare, financial services, and Internet of Things ecosystems, the chapter found both strengths and shortcomings of privacy-preserving solutions. The findings underscore the necessity of balanced frameworks that align regulatory demands, technical feasibility, and user acceptance. This analysis provides guidance toward a sustainable privacy-utility balance.
