Detecting Co-change Using Categorized Commit Data

Existing methods for identifying co-change patterns in software systems do not consider commits' characteristics. We propose a new heuristic for co-change detection that considers commit characterization. Our study shows that this heuristic accurately reflects the static relationships among classes rather than methods that overlook commit characteristics.
