Abstract Expert Essentials is an online resource available to all subscribers to Oxford Law Pro, which provides contextual non-legal information for legal professionals. It consists of a suite of short articles translating topics, methods, and data from other fields, such as Environmental Science; Environmental, Social, and Governance; Financial Services and Markets; and Technology. Its objective is to demonstrate the relevance of these subjects to key legal practice areas and to explain them in a comprehensible and practical manner for legal professionals. If you are a legal professional seeking to improve your understanding of these technical subjects, whether generally or prior to an important meeting or discussion, you can rely on Oxford’s Expert Essentials to ensure that you are well-versed in the broader context of your work. Expert Essentials is also a valuable resource for training in new practice specialisms at any career stage. Articles are concise and follow a consistent, user-friendly template: (1) an opening summary for speed reading; (2) the body of the article; and (3) a ‘Further Reading’ list, which provides a starting point for more detailed research. Our overall mission is to inform legal professionals on the non-legal but nevertheless complex, specialist, and/or highly regulated topics that are most relevant to their daily work.
