The Web of Things has accelerated the use of data for automation and executive decision-making, supporting smart power systems, smart cities, smart wellbeing, and other smart concepts.net However, the hyperconnectivity brought about by IoT networks and insufficient standard protection IoT devices have security flaws that might endanger the functioning of medical facilities, towns, and other establishments.net Reducing the potential for attack with Internet of Things (IoT) devices may be achieved by enhancing their security features prior to their integration with other systems.net This project’s goal was to emulate a procedure that uses fortification methods to lessen the attack window.net Utilizing the checklist of items suggested for meta-analysis and systematic review methodologies, conduct a methodical evaluation of the available literature.net We were able to develop a suggested procedure for assessing the degree of safety of IoT solutions by using a checklist that took into account the security features of three tiers of the IoT designnet A Web of Things-specific risk matrix has been created to evaluate the attack surface.net In order to lessen the possibility of an attack and enhance the protection of IoT systems, a risk evaluation and fortification technique is finally suggested net. The primary objective of the proposed paradigm is to reduce the risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities associated with IoT systems. This study examines the literature on information security, risk assessment, and execution testing in IoT systems to understand the advantages and disadvantages of IoT. The literature review concludes with recommendations for a workable cybersecurity model based on the best laws, standards, protocols, and best practices already in use.
