The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized automation but also introduced significant security challenges. To address these vulnerabilities, this research proposes a novel Tri-layer security protocol that enhances existing security mechanisms while mitigating risks. The proposed system integrates lightweight cryptography at the device level to ensure secure communication without exceeding IoT resource constraints. A fog computing layer functions as an intermediary, reducing latency and filtering data before it reaches the central network. Additionally, an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) continuously monitors network traffic, identifying anomalies and triggering proactive security measures against cyber threats. This multi-layered approach significantly strengthens IoT security by reducing exposure to attacks. Extensive simulations and real-world testing validate the system's effectiveness, offering a comprehensive security solution for protecting IoT networks and connected devices.
