Today the world is overwhelmed with data which is emerging from different sources like social networking sites, CCTV cameras, airlines system and many more. Such data is rich in volume, velocity and variety which makes big data more complex to handle. Many enterprises opted tool called Hadoop for storing and analyzing big data. Hadoop is an open-source framework that handles enormous data collections and is based on Java programming. Since Hadoop cluster processes data using large set of commodity hardware and requires physical premise for keeping the necessary devices, many big organizations decided to move their data over cloud [11]. Cloud computing is much more suitable as it supports flexible, scalable, Pay-As-You-Go feature to the users. Unfortunately, a similar technology that offers so many benefits can also be abused. Every aspect of a system for information now worries about information security. In order to examine the security and privacy issues that big data users encounter when transferring, storing, and analysing large data via the cloud, this article has examined the partnership of big data and cloud computing.
