The Effective Role of Gemini Pro 1.0 Information Retrieval System - An Analytical Study

International Journal of Information Systems and Computer Sciences · 2025

The fierce rivalry among smart information retrieval system developers has resulted in a notable discrepancy in the systems' capacities and capabilities, necessitating the creation of an assessment system to confirm their efficacy and capacity to meet users' evolving needs. Because the success of the system depends on its ability to meet the needs of its users and their satisfaction with it, corporations that provide these systems are making an effort to get user feedback of the answers as soon as they are displayed. This is a crucial and efficient step in determining where the system needs to be improved and developed. To narrow down the most important criteria used to evaluate information retrieval systems, the current study analyzed and evaluated Google's Gemini Pro 1.0 system, one of the contemporary artificial intelligence-based information retrieval systems, using a variety of Arab and international sources. It then developed a set of criteria that the researcher believes are both effective and capable of evaluating information retrieval systems in general and the Gemini Pro 1.0 system and ChatGPT 3.5 system. The aim of the study was to compare the Gemini Pro 1.0 system with the ChatGPT 3.5 system and determine how well it met the suggested standards. These objectives were accomplished using documentary research, observation, the content analysis, and the comparison approach. The study's most notable findings were that information retrieval systems based on artificial intelligence can meet user needs with previously unheard-of speed and accuracy; the Gemini Pro 1.0 system is regarded as one of the most advanced and effective information retrieval systems when compared to the ChatGPT 3.5 system. The study recommended information retrieval system developers to continuously assess and improve their systems. It also suggested carrying out research to examine and assess the most recent iteration of Gemini, Ultra 1.0, and contrast it with the ChatGPT 4 system in order to make sure they stay up to date with the demands of their consumers.
