The insufficient battery capacity of the sensors limits the network lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). With the advent of wireless energy transfer, the lifetime of sensor nodes can be increased. A mobile charger moves from a base station (BS) to the wireless rechargeable sensor nodes (WRSNs) area to recharge the sensor nodes and then goes back to BS after completion of a task, this process consumes so many batteries of wireless charging vehicles (WCV). Various optimization techniques have been introduced to increase the charging efficiency of WCV for designing the best energy-efficient travel path and perfect stopping locations. This paper offers a thorough analysis of Techniques to increase the efficiency of sensor nodes and compare which one is the better. Finally, there have been some suggested WRSNs research challenges.
