This article addresses the issue of database performance, specifically the execution of SQL queries. Solving this problem is essential for improving the efficiency of information systems. The article examines various parameters that affect SQL query execution, identified using the PostgreSQL command EXPLAIN. The metrics are normalized using exponential smoothing, their sample correlation coefficient is calculated, and the parameters that have the most significant impact on the most comprehensive quality indicator of SQL queries - their cost - are identified.
