This chapter focuses on building a smart environment that can preserve energy on its own. The proposed model incorporates a bidirectional visitor counter that adjusts power supply based on peoples' presence or absence. In the case of a living room, this system will identify the amount of people in the room and switch on electricity to specified equipment. When the number of individuals within a closed space, the system turns off the power supply. The deployed appliances will be controlled by one or more programmed microcontrollers, which will instruct them to work efficiently based on need, drawing just the necessary amount of electricity and conserving power in the process. The majority of appliances may be handled from a single location, thereby increasing convenience. There will be greater energy efficiency. The intelligent design of interconnected appliances allows the user to remotely manage and monitor their operation even when they are far away from them.
