A Method to Increase Maintainability of Microservice Software Through Enhanced Event Management
Vladyslav Lakhai · 2024
The increasing demands on the quality of microservice software, particularly regarding maintainability, necessitate the implementation of new and improved methods to enhance maintainability by improving event handling. This paper proposes an approach that improves event management by separating the general event processing logic and related dependencies from business logic, as well as defining contracts at the infrastructure level that specify which events and how they will be handled by a microservice. Unlike existing methods, this approach is adapted to the conditions of microservice architecture and the Clean Architecture approach, incorporating principles of dependency inversion and injection. Together, these elements enable an increase in software maintainability and overall quality.
